Igorek, whose real name is Igor Sorokin, was born in the settlement of Kirovsky in Taldy-Kurgan Region. While studying in Novosibirsk he became interested in making music, recorded the hit "My Love Natasha," and later moved to Moscow, where the song "Podozhdem" made him famous across the post-Soviet space.
