Retro Electro Radio Caprice on air

Retro Electro Radio Caprice broadcasts live from Moscow, featuring Electronic, Electronic music.

Retro Electro, a stream from the Radio Caprice network dedicated to retro-inspired electronic music. The station broadcasts from Russia, focusing on retrowave, synthwave, new retro wave, dreamwave and outrun electro. The playlist is mostly instrumental and built around warm analog synths, electronic drums and the atmospheric sound palette associated with 80s pop and film soundtracks.

These styles emerged in the 2000s as a modern reflection of 1980s synthesizer culture. Artists like John Carpenter and Tangerine Dream are often cited among the influences that shaped the aesthetic. The music echoes soundtracks of classic films, cartoons and TV shows of that era, combining gated reverb, vintage synth textures and slow cinematic moods. The result is a nostalgic electronic atmosphere that recreates the sonic spirit of the 80s while remaining part of today’s synthwave scene
