IDM Ambient Radio Caprice on air

IDM Ambient Radio Caprice broadcasts live from Moscow, featuring Electronic, Electronic music.

This station from the Radio Caprice network focuses on IDM ambient and related electronic forms that grew out of the 1990s scene. On air you will hear rhythm-driven ambient, where texture and atmosphere meet subtle beats, drawing from ambient techno, downtempo, downbeat and experimental electronic music meant for focused listening rather than the dancefloor.

The playlist reflects how ambient evolved beyond pure background sound, absorbing elements of techno, house, dub and breakbeat. Early influences tied to labels like Warp and artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre or The Orb shaped a sound that later became known as IDM. Calm, layered, mostly instrumental, this stream follows that line, electronic music with depth, space and a steady, thoughtful pulse.
