Broken Beat Radio Caprice on air

Broken Beat Radio Caprice broadcasts live from Moscow, featuring Electronic, Electronic music.

On air from Russia, Broken Beat by Radio Caprice focuses on off-kilter electronic grooves built around syncopated 4/4 rhythms. The playlist moves between broken beat, nu-jazz, and leftfield club sounds, where sharp snares and claps cut through layered bass and textured synths.

The style draws heavily from the UK broken beat scene and connects closely with drum and bass, house, hip hop, and techno. Its roots go back to 1970s jazz fusion, with echoes of artists like Herbie Hancock and George Duke, later blending into disco, early electronics, and new wave. The result is a rhythm-driven sound that feels both intricate and fluid, with names like Bugz in the Attic, Jazzanova, and 4hero shaping its direction.
